Once they get to Paradise and the one emergent Maintainer cluster the gang'll work with sacrifices itself so Archie gets a new body; I figure they could realize that part of whatever troubles is affecting the station is caused in part by interference by the Others.
Fast-forward a few events, and we get ourselves a philosophy and Transhumanism-inclined android Squid. Or, as I've been mentally referring to the concept, Affably Evil Ultron with a Metal Beard.

I figure Archie's transfer into his new body would've participated in Android Squid's creation, so he probably would've inherited of the spy's normally properly-contained ruthless streak. Hamminess wouldn't factor into it so much as a perceived desire to do right by Humanity, albeit one that'd be twisted out of shape by Amaxi.
Unlike a lot of zealots and antagonists, I could see him more or less come to his senses on the long term without any outward attempts at being redeemed. Hardcore Transhumanist Nietzschean outlooks wouldn't survive a prolonged exposure to Society. He wouldn't necessarily become an ally, so much as a parallel thorn in the Others' collective backside.
