An amusing side thought about Black Speech.
I found this Cthulhuian font http://www.neatorama.com/neatogeek/2014 ... ge-Beings/ and wondered if this was similar to what the Void Weavers use. Perhaps it looks like a mixture between chicken scratch and children's scribbling. ^^

That's pretty cool!
I actually did envision the Black Speech as looking a bit like this, with an added swirliness of sorts. The symbols being fixed would imply that there's a kind of grammar that surface beings could grasp with enough training, but the speech component of the language is actually simpler than the written aspect of it. Symbols shift and warp even when they're carved on stone, concurrent meanings clash and mesh together, contradictions have to be worked with... This is why the Black Books are dangerous even if you can't read the idiom.
