Someone decides the world's political scenery is lacking without the aerial badassery of Manfred Von Richtofen, who was actually a hit with the ladies and who more or less once told Hermann Göering to suck it. Anyone who tells a member of the Nazi high command to suck it is a badass.

So the Red Baron comes back as a Clank and he somehow ends up a naturalized American. Then he picks up what he knew best and basically goes Top Gun in time for the Transgenics Wars. I'm guessing he'd eventually end up as part of the occasional Air Support for Shield. Nami handles the personnel transport with some upper-atmosphere combat basics, and he'd take care of the more standard stuff that might fly around at more decent altitudes. Pair that with some decent ground and on-foot combat basics, and you'd get someone who'd be pretty useful - considering how the Archimedes is still fairly limited in terms of its top speed.

Also, he'd have aerial support drones he'd probably call Snoopy and Woodstock, because of course.
