Tam came out from the shelves, where she'd been continuing to familiarize herself with the shop's inventory. She stepped up to the counter, keeping a little distance between herself and the new customer.

"You need something, boss?"

"I- saw him in passing? A couple times? I don't know why he's contacting me, especially through Creepazoid back there," Tam said, who did not need to play up her bewilderment by much. "I'm pretty sure it's not for any sort of trouble."

Tam was most of the way through her first burger before she looked up and addressed Brenner.
